Wildmore Compost is more than just compost. It’s care, craft, and connection to the land. Peat-free, planet-kind, and rich in legacy, we help your garden grow the way nature intended.
No Peat. No Problem.
At Wildmore Compost, we give back to the land. You can buy with confidence that you are caring for the planet.
We are a family-owned, British company, built from a farm in the heart of the Lincolnshire Fens.
Our compost has been rigorously tested, certified and approved by scientists and professional growers to ensure you only get the best blooms.
Our compost's special ingredient is a by-product of an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Plant situated right here in our Lincolnshire Farm.
An AD Plant is a facility that uses plant matter and manure (In our case, maize and grass from our farm, and waste vegetables, pig manure and chicken manure) and breaks it down to generate renewable, clean energy that provides over 1,800 homes.
After processing, what is left of the matter is a rich, powerful fertiliser that your plants will love!
Wildmore compost is peat-free and carefully formulated to give plants a strong, reliable start. To ensure consistent nutrient levels and dependable results, we use a measured amount of mineral (synthetic) fertiliser within our blends.
Why? Because it allows us to provide:
We know some gardeners prefer entirely organic systems, and we respect that choice. Our focus is on creating high-performance, peat-free compost that supports plant health while remaining transparent about what’s inside every bag.
If you ever have questions about our ingredients, we’re always happy to talk.
Wildmore Compost is proudly peat-free, artisan-crafted in the UK using generations of horticultural knowledge. We blend premium, sustainable ingredients to nourish your soil and support thriving, resilient plants—without costing the earth.
Peatlands are vital ecosystems and carbon sinks. By choosing peat-free compost, you're helping to protect British wildlife, reduce carbon emissions, and support a healthier planet. It’s gardening with conscience.
We use a carefully balanced mix of AD Fibre, Coir, Greenfibre, Conifer bark, and slow-release fertiliser to keep your plants fed for up to 10 to 12 weeks! Every ingredient has been carefully selected and blended with precision to ensure your garden receives the best quality, while protecting peatlands.
Our all-purpose mix is ideal for pots, containers, houseplants, herbs, raised beds, borders, and more. Whether you’re growing veg, flowers, or foliage, Wildmore Compost helps them thrive. Please note that Our all-purpose compost is not designed specifically for ericaceous plants or seeding.
Yes! We are always busy at Wildmore Compost, trialling the best blends for your plants. We are just at the beginning, watch this space..
Keep it in a cool, dry place, ideally protected from rain and direct sunlight. If you've opened the bag, fold it tightly to prevent the compost from drying out or becoming too wet. Check out our blog post for more information.
