100% Peat Free, Always
Peatlands are vital carbon sinks and fragile ecosystems, and once they’re destroyed, they don’t come back. That’s why every Wildmore Compost blend is 100% peat-free, with no exceptions.
We believe that beautiful gardens shouldn’t come at the cost of nature’s wildest places. By choosing peat-free compost, you’re helping protect biodiversity, reduce emissions, and support a more regenerative way of gardening.
♻️ Responsibly Made
Our compost is crafted using natural materials that are sourced as locally as possible. We work with trusted partners and suppliers who share our values and contribute to a circular economy. One of our main ingredients is AD Fibre, a by-product of clean energy provided for over 1,800 homes.
Wherever we can, we reuse, repurpose, and minimise waste.
🚛 Reducing Delivery Emissions
Compost is heavy, and transporting it has an environmental cost. We’re mindful of every mile, which is why we currently offer free local deliveries within 25 miles* to reduce emissions and build community around our home base. For deliveries further afield, we’re exploring the most sustainable courier options available and continually improving our packaging and logistics.
📦 100% Recyclable Packaging
Our compost packaging is 100% recyclable at any large supermarket, and made out of 30% recycled plastic. We’re not perfect (yet), but sustainability is built into every decision we make, and we’re constantly improving with intention and care.

We are proud to be a Tesco Low Carbon Concept Farm, pioneering sustainability for British farmers across the nation. In collaboration with Tesco, we are working together to find a sustainable way to farm. Every bag of compost is produced from our farm. Find out more Here.

The Responsible Sourcing Scheme for Growing Media aims to ensure compost and growing media has been responsibly sourced. We are a member, but we are still waiting for an audit on our compost to verify. Keep your eyes peeled for updates!
