🌿 What is AD Fibre and Where Does it Come From?

At Wildmore Compost, we believe in giving back to the land. So it only makes sense that we use ingredients that come full circle. One of our key materials is AD fibre, a nutrient-rich by-product from a process called anaerobic digestion.

In simple terms, anaerobic digestion is nature’s way of recycling. Organic materials like food waste and crops are broken down in a sealed environment, producing green energy and leaving behind a fibrous material packed with goodness for the soil. That’s AD fibre.

Rather than letting it go to waste, we put it to work, returning it to the land as part of our high-quality, peat-free compost.

We have an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Plant right here on our Lincolnshire farm, so this is the most local material you could possibly source. Our AD Plant alone provides clean energy to over 1,800 homes and runs entirely on Maize, Grass and waste vegetables.
